Welcome to Minnepau, a veterinary clinic in the Saint Anthony Park neighborhood of Saint Paul! Minnepau offers wellness exams, sick calls, vaccinations, dentistry, and surgery care for your furry family members in the newly constructed clinic building at 918 Raymond Avenue.
During COVID-19, Minnepau Veterinary Clinic is open for wellness visits, surgeries, dental procedures, flea/tick prevention, and vaccinations.Due to recommendations from the American Veterinary Medicine Association, certain precautions are being followed to ensure that our staff, patients, and clients remain safe and healthy.
For now, we will be offering limited exposure appointments, curbside appointments, and outdoor house calls.
Coming to the clinic:
Please make your appointment either by phone (612.314.3969) or on our website. Appointments are currently being scheduled with extra time between clients so only one patient is in the building at a time and allowing extra time to clean.
Upon arrival, call the clinic at 612.314.3969 to check-in. (Since our parking lot is currently under construction, please park on Hampden Ave.)
Our staff will unlock the doors for you and escort you into a large exam room where evaluation and care for the pet can take place with 6 feet of distance between humans. Masks will be required for in-clinic appointments.
Alternately, if you feel more comfortable with curbside pet care, our staff can also meet you at the door to bring your pet(s) inside the clinic for their evaluation and care. Simply, drop off pets in carriers in the front door vestibule and wait for a team member to welcome them into the clinic. Pets on leashes can be handed off at the front door. You may choose to wait in your vehicle or at the park across the street from the clinic during your pet’s examination or return at a later scheduled pick up time. Once the visit is complete, a team member will discuss the examination and treatment plan and take payment over the phone.
Payment Contactless payment is possible at our payment kiosk.
House calls House call services bring wellness visits and sick pet examinations! In home euthanasia is also available. During COVID-19, our 30 minutes house calls will take place outside your home to decrease risk (with the exception of euthanasia).
Please have your pet ready for the visit by having them in a crate or on a leash. Security items such as bedding or special toys can accompany your pet.
Please have favorite treats or food available to use during the appointment to maintain positive association. If your pet is anxious or territorial around guests, please talk with our staff about providing a calming aid prior to the visit. First doses should be administered 12 hours before the appointment.
Prior to the examination, Dr. Mueller will discuss any concerns. Afterwards, he will conduct a physical exam, provide any treatments, and administer any needed immunizations.
Prescription Medications and Food All non-emergent medications or prescription diets can be purchased through the online pharmacy on our website and shipped to your residence. Emergency medications can be filled in advance via phone or email and picked up at the clinic. Payment will be taken over the phone and our staff will bring the medication to the front door.
Additional Precautions: Please have a healthy friend or family member bring your pet to the clinic if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, have a fever, or if you have had contact with anyone who has symptoms or tested positive for COVID-19.
