DR. STARKE MUELLER

Veterinarian/Owner

Picture
Dr. Starke Mueller moved to Saint Anthony Park in 2014, three years after completing his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota.  It didn’t take long before he fell in love with the community and invested in a plot of land next to the Hampden Coop with plans to open a veterinary clinic and to help his four-legged neighbors and their caregivers.  Minnepau Veterinary Clinic was founded with a dream to help people by caring for and healing their animals in the community where he lives with his wife and four children and one boston terrier.  Dr. Mueller has special interest in preventative care medicine, in promoting pet oral health, and in soft tissue surgery.

DR. ALEXIS LORENZ

Veterinarian

Picture
Dr. Lorenz hails from northern Maine, and later Ohio, where she attended high school and college. She came to Minnesota to attend the UMN College of Veterinary Medicine and not only met her future husband on the St. Paul campus, but became enamored with the Saint Anthony Park area. After graduating with her veterinary degree in 2005, Alexis practiced in various places in the east and midwest, finally circling back to Minnesota in 2015. She considers it especially delightful that St. Anthony Park is now the neighborhood where she lives and gets to practice veterinary medicine. Her professional interests include small mammals and cytology.

When Dr. Lorenz isn’t at work or chasing after her four children, you might find her reading, playing ultimate frisbee or trying to catch the two guinea pigs that are allowed free range of the yard. Willow, the family cat, sometimes helps.

Dr. Molly Doyle

HOLLY
Office Manager / Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)

Dr. Molly Doyle is a compassionate and dedicated veterinarian who earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota in 2025. A native of Alexandria, Minnesota, Dr. Doyle discovered her passion for veterinary medicine early—writing her first “book” about becoming a veterinarian in kindergarten. That childhood dream has since become a fulfilling career grounded in a deep love for animals and strong relationships with their owners. Dr. Doyle enjoys the variety and connection that general practice offers, from wellness visits to complex medical cases. She values the opportunity to partner with pet owners in providing lifelong care for their beloved companions.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Doyle enjoys exploring the Twin Cities area, where she frequents local coffee shops, breweries, and outdoor spaces. She’s always on the lookout for a good sweet treat and a cozy patio.
Holly earned an Associates degree in Veterinary Technology from Minnesota School of Business in 2014. Her career in Veterinary Medicine started in 2012 as a Veterinary Assistant. She has always had a passion for animals and enjoys helping pet owners.  Before coming to Minnepau, she worked in an emergency clinic and in Neurology.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two Olde English Bulldogs, Zeus and Athena.  She enjoys client education and cytology of skin and ears.
